New Housing ETFs


Someone has finally launched a pair of ETFs focusing on the housing market (or will be shortly, anyway). MacroShares Major Metro Housing:

This definitely presents and interesting asset allocation alternative. And theoretically you could use it to hedge a property purchase as well.

    That looks interesting. I’m actually pretty interested in speculating on a homebuilders ETF at this point in time, but a real estate/ housing option could be a great hedge against property like you have mentioned. I will have a look at it as a potential investment.

    It you want to play the homebuilders, look at the XHB and ITB pair of ETFs.
