But to be honest most &quot;investors&quot; are really traders.  Part of the reason for this I suspect is that trading is seen as a dirty word.

If people were more financially educated they would realize that no self-respecting trader would accept a 60% maximum drawdown whereas I know that most so called investors who buy mutual funds wouldn&#039;t even know what their risk parameters were.</description>

I would call Warren Buffet an investor. My grandmother was an investor - she bought stocks and muni bonds and held them for the dividends. I would only consider someone an investor if they hold something for longer than a trend cycle.</description>
